Animals & Essential Oils

With the recent social media posts regarding essential oil use and pets, please read this article written by a vet that may address your concerns.

"Cats would be dropping over dead all over the world, if essential oils were truly as toxic as those reports imply. With the amazing amount of essential oil use in households containing all sorts of animals, I am impressed at the level of safety actually witnessed. Just like with the phenol research, it will matter what quality of essential oil is used. I do not think that synthetics or altered essential oils should be in the same category at all with true and natural essential oils."

Buyer Beware: Essential Oil Labels Can Be Deceiving

Buyer Beware: A popular company on Amazon...this is why we buy oils from a reputable company. This oil isn't just synthetic, or's absolutely toxic. Education is important!

To date, every oil analyzed from this company has been a complete fake. This lavender which is labeled as "100% pure lavender oil" and "Therapeutic Grade" not only has ZERO actual lavender oil in it, but also has a synthetic plasticizer known as DiEthylPhalate (DEP) in it at over 24%. Several ...other oils from this company also contained DEP and none of them were actually anything close to an essential oil, despite the label claims.

This oil is mainly a blend of synthetic linalool and synthetic linalyl acetate. As time has gone on, cheaper and cheaper product was used, even to the point of diluting the already cheap, synthetic fragrances with plasticizers.

The products from this company are literally the farthest away from essential oils of just about any products on the market today that are claimed to be essential oils.

What is the ORAC scale

The ORAC, (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity) was developed in 1992 and measures the antioxidant capacities of foods, juices and oils. The higher the ORAC score, the more capable that particular food or oils is of destroying free radicals, thus regarding the aging process.  Blueberries rate 2,400 and Wolfberries 25,300. Clove essential oil rates 1,078,700. Yep, that is not a typo! Thieves essential oil blend contains Clove oil and Ningxia Red drink contains Wolfberries. Why I Use Essential Oils

Essential Oils are a part of my every day life. I don't use them just because they smell good because some don't appeal to my sniffer. I use essential oils because of the "shift" I experience emotionally and spiritually when I simply inhale them. Clearly my body responds well. I am very cautious what I put in and on my body so I chose products that will work with my systems and not against them. Some of my favorites are Peppermint, Cinnamon Bark, Rosemary, Ravintsara, Eucalyptus Blue, Coriander to name a few. I also enjoy many of the blends such as Magnify Your Purpose, Sensation, Joy, Awaken and Envision.
