Buyer Beware: Essential Oil Labels Can Be Deceiving
Buyer Beware: A popular company on Amazon...this is why we buy oils from a reputable company. This oil isn't just synthetic, or diluted..it's absolutely toxic. Education is important!
To date, every oil analyzed from this company has been a complete fake. This lavender which is labeled as "100% pure lavender oil" and "Therapeutic Grade" not only has ZERO actual lavender oil in it, but also has a synthetic plasticizer known as DiEthylPhalate (DEP) in it at over 24%. Several ...other oils from this company also contained DEP and none of them were actually anything close to an essential oil, despite the label claims.
This oil is mainly a blend of synthetic linalool and synthetic linalyl acetate. As time has gone on, cheaper and cheaper product was used, even to the point of diluting the already cheap, synthetic fragrances with plasticizers.
The products from this company are literally the farthest away from essential oils of just about any products on the market today that are claimed to be essential oils.
The ORAC, (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity) was developed in 1992 and measures the antioxidant capacities of foods, juices and oils. The higher the ORAC score, the more capable that particular food or oils is of destroying free radicals, thus regarding the aging process. Blueberries rate 2,400 and Wolfberries 25,300. Clove essential oil rates 1,078,700. Yep, that is not a typo! Thieves essential oil blend contains Clove oil and Ningxia Red drink contains Wolfberries. Contact me to get your oils and Ningxia and start your new wellness journey.
Essential Oils are a part of my every day life. I don't use them just because they smell good because some don't appeal to my sniffer. I use essential oils because of the "shift" I experience emotionally and spiritually when I simply inhale them. Clearly my body responds well. I am very cautious what I put in and on my body so I chose products that will work with my systems and not against them. Some of my favorites are Peppermint, Cinnamon Bark, Rosemary, Ravintsara, Eucalyptus Blue, Coriander to name a few. I also enjoy many of the blends such as Magnify Your Purpose, Sensation, Joy, Awaken and Envision.
Iodine! Did you know that one tube of Ningxia Nitro contains 75 mcg of pure iodine?
Iodine is a mineral that is needed in the diet to ensure that the thyroid works properly. Thyroid hormones play an important role in a wide range of bodily functions, including metabolism, bone health, immune response, and development of the central nervous system (CNS).
Iodine helps convert thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) to triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4). This conversion is important for the thyroid to function properly.
An iodine imbalance can lead to an overactive or underactive thyroid.
Around 70 to 80 percent of iodine is found in the thyroid gland in the neck. The rest is in the blood, the muscles, the ovaries, and other parts of the body. (Taken from Medical News Today)

Clove is a potent essential oil and is used often for topical application such as in massage oils and personal care products. We recommend adding a drop or two to your hand lotion to keep your skin moisturized during the drier winter months.
Raven essential oil is supportive year round, but especially in the fall and winter seasons. Raven is a “cleansing” oil blend and contains the essential oils: Ravintsara, Peppermint, Wintergreen, Lemon and Eucalyptus Radiata so you can imagine how great it smells. Ravintsara and R.C. essential oils also promote respiratory health and they all provide a comforting and cooling aroma when applied topically or diffused.
This photo says it all. Just hoping they are using 100% pure. There only has to be 5% pure essential oil for it to be labeled "pure". Young Living is the only company with the Seed to Seal promise. Once you experience the scent of a Young Living oil, you will know the difference.
Dorado Azul essential oil has a unique, earthy scent and is from the mint family. It is also called Bush Mint. Dorado Azul is exclusive to Young Living and Gary Young was the first to analyze the plant, which was thought to be a weed from the native people. It supports the respiratory system and normal hormone function. You can also enjoy being outdoors and not be annoyed by bugs. It goes well with SclarEssence blend in the diffuser, especially if you are using it for hormone support.
Life moves pretty fast, but if you are like me, my goals and dreams often seem to be far away. I want it all to happen right now and I don't always enjoy the journey. Yes, it is a journey. Write down those glorious dreams, but don't obsess. Take a hold of today and how you can make it great.
Diffuse or apply Present Time essential oil blend (Neroli, Spruce & Ylang Ylang) to your VitaFlex points and stay on track.
Patchouli, Ylang Ylang, and Grapefruit oils: a complimentary trio
I love what essential oils do but I don't like how all of them smell. Patchouli and Ylang Ylang are an important part of my collection but I am not crazy about their scent. I like to experiment and create my own blends. Today I put Patchouli, Ylang Ylang and Grapefruit essential oils in my diffuser. What a lovely aroma!!
My pets are my family too so I don’t use products on them I wouldn’t use on myself.Young Living’s Animal Scents® Ointment is a protective, soothing salve designed specifically for external use on animals. The gentle and safe formula is enhanced with pure Tea Tree (Melaleuca Alternifolia) and Myrrh, two of nature’s most powerful essential oils. It works well for humans too.
A portion of all proceeds from Animal Scents products goes to support Vital Ground, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the habitat of grizzly bears and other wide-roaming wildlife.
Also, here is a dog shampoo recipe from Abundant Health for those who like to create their own products.
1 cup water
1 Tbsp. Castile Soap
1/4 tsp. Vitamin E oil
3 drops peppermint essential oil
3 drops lavender essential oil
1 drop melaleuca essential oil
1 drop lemongrass essential oil
1 drop cedarwood essential oil
2 drops Roman chamomile essential oil
8 oz Plastic Bottle with disc-top cap
Mix all ingredients together in an 8 oz. Plastic Bottle.
Note: The mixture is watery but works great for keeping your dog smelling great. It can be a support to your dog’s fur and skin.
Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) is especially comforting during the winter season. Its fresh, herbaceous, slightly evergreen aroma is refreshing and restores feelings of security and stability. Cypress is also beneficial for oily or troubled skin. It teams well in the diffuser with one of Young Living's citrus oils. Tangerine is one of my favorites.
What's in your diffuser? I have Basil & Idaho Balsam Fir. Basil is invigorating, balancing and calming. Idaho Balsam Fir is grounding, relaxing and calming. Balsam Fir is grown at Young Living's Highland Flats Farm in Idaho. Together, these two make a dynamic duo in the diffuser.
I used olive oil, instead of vegetable oil and half chicken broth and half vegetable broth. I put my spaghetti squash on the side as well as angel pasta because some of my family members don't like squash. I added 2 drops of Young Living Lemongrass essential oil, in addition to the fresh Lemongrass (from my own plant!) that the recipe calls for. The squeeze of lime adds freshness. Next time I am going to add a drop of Lime essential oil as well!
I had a unique sandwich at Pezzenttino Italian Deli & Market in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City last week. The Rosemary Potato, Braised Leeks, Mushrooms & Gorgonzola Piadine was one of the tastiest creations I have ever eaten. I am not vegetarian but I try to limit my meat consumption. I wanted to recreate something simlliar at home but I didn't have fresh rosemary so I boiled my sliced potatos and finished them on the grill. I mixed some olive oil with a drop of rosemary essential oil (I only use Young Living) with salt and pepper and brushed on the potatoes before and after they were grilled. I also grilled pita bread with the same olive oil mix. I washed some romaine letter and brushed with a mix of olive oil and one drop of tangerine and lemon essential oils. I also grilled the lettuce for a few minutes. I assembled my sandwiches on the grilled pita with the rosemary potatos, grilled lettuce, tomatoes and munster cheese (that's the only type of cheese I had and it worked well with this sandwich). This was different than the piadine I had at Pezzentino's but it was delicious.
As an essential oils enthusiast, I use my oils whenever I can, especially in my meals to enhance the flavor. Oils are uplifting to me and since cooking is one of my favorite things, the combination is amazing. I prepared a sauce with ricotta cheese, pesto, a few red pepper flakes, fresh cilantro and one drop of Young Living Lemon essential oil and tossed it with pasta with a side of zucchini sauteed in olive oil and shallots. So easy, healthy and delicious. I normally use brown rice pasta to make my dishes even healthier. The lemon oil added a pep in my step for sure!
